Payment & Escrow

How do I pay right now?
Payments are currently invoice-based. After your order is confirmed you receive a proforma invoice and pay by bank transfer; goods ship after the invoice is paid. The escrow/card checkout described below is temporarily suspended and will return at a later stage.
How does payment work on VESTRA?
After your order is confirmed you receive a PDF invoice and pay it by bank transfer (SEPA within the EU); goods ship once the payment arrives. Always pay the account printed on that invoice: on most orders it is the seller's, and on orders VESTRA invoices in its own name it is VESTRA's. The invoice names who the seller of record is. Every step is documented in your account.
What is escrow and why does VESTRA use it?
Escrow means a neutral third party holds the payment until agreed conditions are met (delivery confirmed, inspection window passed). It protects buyers against non-delivery and sellers against non-payment — neither party can disappear with the money.
Who holds the escrow funds?
A licensed, regulated third-party payment and escrow provider holds escrowed funds; VESTRA does not hold or transmit user money. The exception is an order VESTRA invoices in its own name: there VESTRA is the seller of record, your payment goes to its own account and is not escrowed, and VESTRA pays the supplying seller once the order is successful.
When are funds released to the seller?
Funds release when: (a) you confirm receipt of goods, or (b) automatically once your claim window has run, if no problem has been reported. To pause release, report the problem to support@vestrasales.com before the window ends — reported orders stay held until resolved.
What payment methods are accepted?
Bank transfer against the seller's invoice — SEPA within the EU, SWIFT internationally. Card and other online payment methods are temporarily suspended. Cryptocurrency and cheques are not accepted.
In which currency do I pay?
All prices on VESTRA are in Euros (EUR). SEPA transfers are made in EUR. Card transactions may attract a conversion fee if your card is in a different currency.
Is there a buyer-protection fee?
Yes — escrow (secure card) orders carry a 3.8% buyer-protection fee. It holds your payment safely until you confirm delivery and funds a full refund if the deal falls through, and it is shown clearly at checkout before you pay. Orders paid by bank transfer against an invoice have no buyer fee.
Is my payment information safe?
You pay by bank transfer from your own bank — VESTRA never collects, sees, or stores your card numbers or online-banking credentials. The bank details printed on the invoice belong to whoever is the seller of record for that order, which the invoice names.
Who am I paying — VESTRA or the seller?
Whoever the invoice names as seller of record, and you pay the bank account printed on that same invoice. On most orders that is the marketplace seller. On some orders VESTRA invoices in its own name (Terms of Service, section 3c): there your contract is with VESTRA, VESTRA collects the payment and pays the supplying seller afterwards, and you raise any claim with VESTRA. Your claim window of 3 business days and the Returns & Claims policy are identical either way.
